Testimonials

Hello, It's been a while, even though I stopped attending after my son
was sentenced to camp. (We both saw it coming). I truly want to thank you
for allowing me to process my frustrations.

My son did 5 1/2 months at challenger Camp McNair. He was released last year on July 5, 2004.  He continued to refuse to attend school and on May 27, 2005 of this year he was placed back at Challenger Camp Jarvis. He received 3 months this time for violation.

What I do know is that his anger had gotten a lot better.
He did learn some tools from you to curve his temper to some degree.
I only pray that he will finish school, due to the fact the judge states locking
him up until he finishes High School if he doesn't get it right when he is released.

He is due to be released at the end of August or the first of September.

I asked once if you do family counseling, I hope you do
now, because my son and myself could still use your help!

Thank you,

Anita

I'd like to thank you once again for your excellent presentation on August 9th. I can't tell you how impressed we were with your wealth of information and how it was presented. You truly gave our residents an educational experience.

It says so much about you that you took the time to visit our program and share your experience with us. You certainly have shown a deep commitment to the community.

Your contribution was appreciated, well-received, and vital for the clients we serve.

Sincerely,

This subject in the beginning was not clear to me about my anger, my name is Tony I was arrested for domestic Violence 6/3/2005.

Indeed there was an argument between my mate and I. But there was no physical abuse. Currently I am with restriction order from the court not to see my beloved family which consist of my 2 daughters, my son and dog Tigger.

When I appear in court with my hired attorney, the first time to hear the charges I was amazed to find out how critical and delicate situation I was involved. I was put on restriction order, and DA wanted for me to serve time. I ask my self I am not a full time criminal, I work 2 jobs, I paid my taxes, I am shoulder to shoulder with society, how can this be happening to a law abiding man. So many questions when through my head. I started to become angry to society. But something good came out the court that date, the judge mention a phrase in the court session " it will go long ways if I enroll in counseling"

This phrase stuck into my head. So I decided to search for some kind of counseling, I search the web, made a lot of phone calls, call friends, and I did my research. A question pop up inside my mind should I go to Domestic Violence classes or anger management. At last I call Daybreak, I spoke with a young man which did not ask me for court papers, if I had money to paid the classes, a simple words he told me by phone just come by an enroll and see how daybreak can help me with my anxiety of anger. Those words were sufficient for me to stop by his facilities. I do not get paid or get any gift gratitude for this story, this is my story seeing with my eyes and hearing with my ears. So far I have learned that anger is normal for a human being is part of survival, also anger can be good to accomplish goals. I am still learning about anger, I know anger is secondary emotion, there is phrase I have learned but not memorize feel….. ????, become……I need. Well I am still in the learning process, so If you feel you need help, get help…. I wanted to thanks Daybreak to help me with my problems. And Jesus who is listen to my problems.

Thanks,
T.C

Our first meeting with Daybreak's CEO was when I was looking for help for my son. My son is 42 years old and mentally challenged. He is highly functional and holds a part-time job. He was dealing with feeling of anger, rage and had become verbally abusive. He was very hurt because his sister did not trust him with her children. Everything got so bad that I was going to move him out. Except one day I heard him crying like a baby, calling for help. Since then I vowed never to move him. Instead I called various agencies to find out about anger management. That is how I found Daybreak. Shannon has been a Godsend to us. He teaches us how to handle our emotions, how to relate to other people, how to settle and argument and most of all how to respect ourselves and others. Anybody could benefit from this class. I highly recommend this class to anyone in need of help.

This class has help me out a lot. When I tell my problems to Shannon he helps me to understand the situation and try to forget what they had done to me. He teaches me how to get on with my life.
